Education Support Programme

Supporting pupils facing socio-economic challenges to gain confidence, knowledge, and academic success.

Programme Overview

The Education Support Programme at B Young Stars provides personalised tutoring for pupils facing socio-economic challenges, helping them build confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve academic success. Our sessions use curriculum-aligned resources and are delivered either in-person at schools or online to ensure accessibility and consistency. Through tailored learning, expert resources, and dedicated support, we equip every pupil with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive in their education.

How Our Education Programme Works

At B Young Stars, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their starting point. Our education programme focuses on:

📚 Academic achievement

💬 Building confidence and resilience

🤝 Mentoring and positive role models

🌟 Creating safe, supportive learning environments

We work closely with schools, families and communities to help young people stay engaged, motivated and supported both inside and outside the classroom.

Programme Structure and Delivery

Our tutoring programme supports young people across:

Our delivery model includes:

  • 30+ young people attending weekly sessions
  • Small group learning (around 10 pupils per class)
  • Qualified teachers, tutors and mentors
  • Baseline assessments and progress tracking
  • Personalised support tailored to each young person

Sessions take place across:

  • Community hubs
  • Partner schools
  • Online platforms where needed

Alongside tutoring, young people also receive mentoring, encouragement and wellbeing support.

Curriculum-Aligned Teaching Resources

We use structured, curriculum-aligned resources designed to support:

  • SATs preparation
  • GCSE learning
  • 11+ preparation

Our sessions are:

  • Interactive and engaging
  • Tailored to different learning needs
  • Focused on strengthening core skills and confidence

Whether online or in person, we aim to make learning enjoyable, accessible and rewarding.

Tracking Progress Every Step of the Way

Every young person begins with a baseline assessment to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Throughout the programme, we monitor:

  • Academic progress
  • Attendance and engagement
  • Confidence and participation

Tutors regularly review progress and adapt support where needed, while working closely with parents, carers and schools to ensure young people continue to grow academically, socially and emotionally.

Curriculum-Aligned Teaching Resources

Our Education Support Programme is overseen by dedicated Programme Coordinators who ensure every session runs smoothly and effectively. They act as the key link between schools, tutors, pupils, and families, providing structure, communication, and consistent support throughout the programme.

Programme Coordinators manage scheduling, attendance, and logistics, ensuring sessions are organised and delivered to a high standard. They also support tutors with guidance, resources, and feedback, helping maintain quality and consistency across all sessions.

By closely monitoring progress and maintaining strong communication with partner schools, our coordinators help create a reliable, well-managed environment where pupils can focus on learning and achieving their goals.
